Love the imagery that Paul gives us in Ephesians 2 as it relates to the community of faith. He tells us that Christ’s death has made us

1. Fellow citizens speaking of our obligation to each other and community.
2. Members of God’s household speaking of our acceptance of each other as extended family.
3. A temple under construction that is becoming a “dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit” (Eph. 2:22).

These analogies speak so much to God’s intention that the church be united together, committed to community and inviting as dwelling place for God’s Spirit.
