Thessalonians 2:12..."that your daily lives should not embarrass God, but bring joy to him who invited you into his kingdom to share his glory."
It can really help someone feel better about themselves to know they have been invited by God into his kingdom to share his glory.
Compared to people the world considers important (although many of them have worked very hard for it), God is the great equalizer with no respect of persons.
I Thes 3:11 Now God Himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. This scripture reminds me of our missionaries (both home and abroad). I believe God directs them to the missionfield He wants ministered to at a particular time. Missionaries stay prayed up and in contact with the Father to show them the way to reach that nation. The Power of 3 is now offering a small group companion class each Wednesday at the Alameda Campus. This “group huddle” offers: · Casual atmosphere with coffee and refreshments. · Group interaction and an opportunity to share and grow from what others have learned through the reading plan that week. · In-depth teaching from Pastor Roncone on one of the passages contained in that week’s reading plan.
This is a wonderful opportunity to harness the power of good planning, group interaction and personal accountability in bringing life-giving habits to your spiritual growth. It all starts January 6, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Aurora First.
