Paul sets a really high example of how much work he put into his life of faith. My first pastor used to teach us that to become a strong Christian takes consistant work and effort, just like anything else in life.
Processing the thought that resurrection living results in resurrected thinking.
“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” (Colossians 3:1-2)
Introduces some challenging questions.
1. When my thoughts are downward what does that say about the altitude of my walk with God? 2. Is my thought life an indication of my understanding of the resurrection power of Christ? 3. If an elevated perspective is a natural result of being resurrected with Christ, then why are some of God’s people so critical, pessimistic, judgmental and negative? 4. Are my thoughts in the tomb or the heavenlies?
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Whenever I do things for Teen Challenge, I do them for the Lord. These guys are going through a lot and I believe in giving them a helping hand. I believe the Lord loves them, no matter what they are going through. It's a blessing to me. Anita H.
The Power of 3 is now offering a small group companion class each Wednesday at the Alameda Campus. This “group huddle” offers: · Casual atmosphere with coffee and refreshments. · Group interaction and an opportunity to share and grow from what others have learned through the reading plan that week. · In-depth teaching from Pastor Roncone on one of the passages contained in that week’s reading plan.
This is a wonderful opportunity to harness the power of good planning, group interaction and personal accountability in bringing life-giving habits to your spiritual growth. It all starts January 6, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Aurora First.

Good thinking.
